The above is now available on OBX Direct. It is not perfect but it is very good
and excellent value and even cheaper if you already own their NZ mesh.
Remember that this is landmarks mostly. The only thing that I think is a bit of
a shame is the cars on the wharf next to the car carrier just a blurred mess.
The cars on the top of the nearby buildings are fine and for me, who don't live there
but know a bit of my way around the city I think it is a massive improvement on the
standard offering. Roll on Auckland Airport Robin

I think this Orbx Auckland is brilliant, - far better then the freeware version I was using and pretty good frame rate too. The Town Hall and Civic Theatre are among the heritage gems but I wish they'd done the art gallery too.

The Mechanics Bay Heliport is good, with even some interior modelling.

Since I already had the NZ mesh, this Auckland cost me NZ$12.50, - an absolute steal imo.

As someone who has spent hundreds of hours assembling homebrew Auckland sceneries from various pre-existing models over the years, I probably know more about the city's layout than is healthy.

I'm really impressed by what Orbx have done here. I took the drone camera around last night, fully expecting them not to do one building or another, yet all I checked were present and correct. It's the first time we've had the Aotea Centre, IMAX and Civic in a commercial scenery as far as I can remember. The only real omissions are some historical street level buildings which tend not to be in sceneries anyway.

I have been waiting for this scenery all year so had high expectations but they have exceeded what I hoped for. It's a very good rendition of the city and up to date as well. As I'd already bought the NZ Mesh I benefitted from the discount too.

Highly recommended :D
