Has anyone got any pics of Omarama NZOA that they would be willing to share with me ???
Im looking for general pics of the airfield and the layout of its buildings etc, for the purpose of building a scenery.

I've stopped off at Omarama a couple of times on the way back from Wanaka -- I'll just have to have a search for the photos. I also have a sketch of the airfield showing the layout -- done on the run, so I may need to tidy it up a bit:)

I did in fact do a mock-up scenery for some folk who were looking to create a simulator for the World Gliding Champs, but it never eventuated. This was for FSX, and I may release it when I get a bit of a breather to finish it.

Ive managed to glean a few pics from places online, including a good aerial shot from 5000ft looking straight down on the feild.
Anything you are willing to share would be appreciated. im looking to make sure i locate the buildings in pretty much the right places etc. ,
and any small ground details like fuel pumps etc etc.............
Unfortunately, my scenery wont have the rather beautiful looking photoreal buildings like yours, but near as i can get buildings, from the available object libraries, and i dont imagine your FSX building would even be able to be rendered by FS9.................
Many thanks Rob.

Brilliant pics, FlyingKiwi. They really show all the layout you need.
Here are some of the main bits --

The clubrooms are just to the right here -- the little building at the end of the driveway is show below.

From airside...

The long hangers are all pretty basic.

There will certainly be a photoreal FSX version, since I've already done some work on it...

THanks VERY MUCH Rob,............. the pics are brilliant, and will be a great help indeed.
A great pity indeeed, i dont have the tools or the time to do this in photoreal. But i will do the best i can with what i have available, for those with FS9.
There WILL be a surprise added bonus to the scenery...................................

Are AI gliders part of it? or static gliders? Just wondering as I saw in another topic about AI being included.

I was thinking of including Omarama in the upcoming Wanaka/Tekapo release, but I just haven't had time to do it justice, so it'll be a freeware release much later:)
