VOZ AI questions....

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby mavman » Fri Mar 30, 2007 7:21 pm

I have the first VOZ AI iwhich i installed before it was withdrawn and am debating whether or not to install the current version. Reason that i haven't as yet as I like seeing the Origin a/c flying around and i like the airbus twins and baby boeings which has the AIS ground equipment when the a/c are at the gates. Eye candy i know but gives the aprons a 'busy' look when the a/c shut down.
Just a couple of questions, do the air national J31's fly to Oamaru? Where do the airwork a/c fly to and are there many Air NZ B777's flying the schedule?
If anyone has had both versions could you tell me pros/cons between the two.
Thanks :D

Whats wrong with version 2? I never had the first one, but really like the 2nd one. The models are much more easy on FPS that my old Ultimate Traffic, and there is huge varierty of kiwi aircraft flying about. The only thing which is different as far as I know is the removal of the Origin Pacific fleet.

Exactly :P The other differance is the VOZ MKI you need to take care when installing to avoid overwriting existing Aircraft cfg/textures.

VOZ mkII (current) is not exactly perfect either. AI was substituted for alternative models after fuss that resulted in the MKI being withdrawn. Dont forget it was designed for the Australian market so not much care was taken with the New Zealand side of things.
Notable mistakes are the incorrect registrations on the Vincent 1900C this was pointed out but never included in the update to MKII thats been released. Also since it was compiled the routes have changed. So dont expect perfection.

Thanks for all your thoughts everyone. I'm sure i'll stick with markI. Anyone know of an easy way i can get the Air NZ 777's as traffic? The first VOZ AI doesn't have them and i can't get my head around using TTools to compile/decompile flightplans (guess i'm just lazy)....

Rumours are a update to the latest release is on the cards. Not holding my hopes up being biased to the Aussie network.
