Westpac sim bk117

I was watching kids TV this morning with my kids and they had some info and footage of the westpac sim in Auckland ,to my shock they have a bk117 all model and textures for westpac air ambo simulator ,has this been made only for them ?
who made the model if anyone knows ?
and can we as fans of simming get that bk117 payware or freeware?
i cant belive there is a mobel of a bk117 that looks better than the ones ive even seen
anyone that can help me find out more ,cheers now or it looks like im going to the big smoke and see what i can find out from them

I did the repaint for the Westpac sim while I was in Auckland last year.



It is a great sim, but unfortunately there are no really good BK117 models. The model they settled on was made by Brian Whitelegg. I tried to use photo real textures as best i could, but the model was so innaccurate and the texture use quite random, so I had to use a lot of creative license to get it to look ok. I don't even have this loaded on my PC sorry, but probably have the 3 texs I repainted somewhere.

i can tell you the one tv looked really good flying into the sky tower on back view, ive tryed doing thoses textures myself for that model way back really didnt like the model in the end ,

Hey Mike,

Just a bit more backround info...

As Deane said, the original heli they used was the Brian Whitelegg one in the Canterbury Westpac colours which was found on www.hovercontrol.com

Then they got the sim organised which was built and designed by Savern Reweti believe it or not, then of course came the new paint scheme. Savern Reweti is now working with overseas potential customers for more heli sims like the Westpac one...

Thats all good ,Savern Reweti is he the one that was doing Hamilton airport back last year ? that would explain why he hasent be around .
I found a source gmax model around and i know of another for max but theres alot of time involed building something like that for flightsim and if i was ever to learn to build it right ,i know id never be happy with it ,id want winches ,high detail panels ,lots of moving parts and you guys would never see it in my life time
I must make it to one of those open days to check out the sim ,i know ive just missed them couple of weekends back bit of a bummer

Yep he is the Hamilton man... Yeah he is also doing his PhD in Flight Simulation...nice He is one of my lecturers here at Massey and we have some interesting chats about FS and in particular FSX.

Can you get a PHD in simming ."wow" to bad he went on his trip before release them ever most want scenery Hamilton airport ,go good with the fu24 and head out to main oz airports ... maybe he,ll rember us sometime and realease that scenery ever so soon

Those BK-117 screenies in that german forum look awesome! Can't wait til we see it in the Westpac colours

I see Florain_S is a moderator at VA-Luftrettung, perhaps he can tell us some more info and translate the info on that page for us.

yes this is a repaint only for the westpac sim it would be gr8 if we could get it painted in the german BK117!

ive started the repaints for the german bk117 beta ,but anyone will tell you around here im the worst for getting my work out of the ADD shop ,
ive been supply photos and and have got the most of it done but this will have to be change for each model ak/wn/ch
im open to anyone wanting to do them and will help with the signs and markings ive got still for the job
