Polikarpov 153

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Hello Fellow Simmers

From my searches in the Russian tundra today I have turned up a Polikarpov 153 Chaika originally for Cfs2 but is operational in FS2004.

Its by far not the best model out there - its boxy and some animations etc don't work. But it is a Polikarpov none-the-less - and I for one have been wanting the 153 model for a long time.

Is there a better 153 out there?

OR

Can anyone suggest to me anybody who would be interested in improving or redesigning this aircraft for us all to fly - or any tutorials etc on aircraft design for flight sims?

It would be really awesome to "rebuild" this and get her "airworthy" biggrin.gif

Anyhow heres some pics:

(P.S If anyone wants the download I think I found it on fswarbirds - just search polikarpov)

For me, the NZ Polikarpovs are the ultimate warbirds.
If I ever did an aircraft, it'd be this or the I16. I do have plans for this somewhere, I might see what I can find...

Its certainly a favourite in my heart - ever since I saw it... correction HEARD it - then saw it takeoff at Hood.

As with most of the warbirds I've ever seen I've rushed outside my house - looked above the trees on our property - and there *insert any exciting aircraft to ever visit Masterton within the last 10 years* is.

For example - John Lanham put up the OS&R Kittyhawk and did a 10 min aerobatic routine yesterday morning.
(Which coincidentally if anyone's keen - a repaint of would be awesome!)
