Just a heads-up that Milton Shupe and his talented friends released a bunch of Republic XP models (P-47 variants actually) on Flightsim.com:

I have a photo of the experimental inline taking off , it looks like one hell of a machine , the stat's on the type were incredible , Milton and team plus Jan Visser !

Edit : A the XP-47L had a top speed of 507 mph at 34,300 ft
