I'm playing a bit with the Alabeo Staggerwing:

I was flying around a lot with this birdie, as it's good for limited bush flying and it's fast, but then I had enough of the strange yawing/swerving behavior right after landing - I kept running off the runway whatever I did. even the slightest 4KTS crosswind was unmanageable.

However it's still one of the best planes for screenshots - you showcased that nicely!

machine? I guess that's a compliment..?

and I agree with you, Dan, it's a bit twitchy on the ground, it won't turn if you want it, and it seems it's always ready to put one wing on the ground..

But it sure looks great in the air..

..so I did another paint:

Nice Paint JK , I wonder did you have differential brakes (rudder pedals) , another thing was slight push forward on the elevator , guess both yourself and Dan has tried that out.

This is certainly one of my favourites, partly because it has a nice NZ paint:) But yeah, it is a bit of a challenge on the ground, so I have to be feeling brave before choosing it. Much easier to choose the Cirrus and 'drive' it around.

However, true story -- over Christmas my flatmate had her grandsons staying here, and I was showing them the simulator. I went to load a saved flight, and one of the kids saw a Tekapo saved flight on the list, and he wanted to try that, as his class had just been to Tekapo to visit the observatory.

I loaded this flight, which was the Staggerwing over the lake, and let him fly it around the lake. He then aimed for the airport, which he'd figured out just from the class visit, and when he got close, he asked if I could land it.

Since he was pretty much overhead at the time, I did a crazy near-stall to lose altitude, and came out directly in line with the runway, and made the perfect landing, which I never do in this aircraft, or any aircraft, really.

I just pretended that was how I flew. He was blown away.
