Not an aircraft I would buy simply because NZ never operated them, But you go the US Navys Nightingale's that sat on the ramp in Christchurch and Wellington , Admirals barge would suit you right to the ground. .. with mention of the 20th anniversary of Flightsim.com I got a brilliant DC-9 .. back then no VC but I was all over America in it .. had the ole 1960s style paint .. I would not get it because it would just sit there but to other may give it the Kudo's ... course one would want to add NZ historical USN paints and your cooking.

Hey Marty. Am pretty sure this is an update of their original FS9 release from some time back. Looks pretty much identical to me, don't know if any of the systems or level of simulation have actually been updated since then.

Here's a review of the original from back in 2009...

At the time (and probably still now) the reference DC9 for FS9/FSX was the one from the MadDog crew...

Not sure if the latter works in P3D though. Be interested to know.

I LOVE the DC9 but for me the MD80 series with the longer fuselage just looked BETTER, so for me I bought the CLS MD80 instead and rate it, even though its a mid-tier implementation really.

My One I looked at predated MadDog outfit but would not be surprised if they did not have a hand in it .. the external texture were superb ... back then it was keypad for cockpit views ... have to remember took a good couple plus years before VC's realy hit the spot and even then it was not good enough ... , arr the work ya do for diddly.

FWIW- Yep I had the original 2004/FSX version. The model was fine and the VC and systems very good indeed a few bugs but it was ok. I had problems with a reinstall required due to an FSX rebuild and could get no meaningful help or response from SkySimulations whatsoever, so I bought the McFat/MadDog version or product from Flight 1. I must confess I could not really tell them apart but the MadDog version is very good but not for the novice. Basically you need to put yourself in a DC-9 ground school to get a handle on this bird. Due to other interests I have not fully explored the DC-9 but will one day. At least they had an Ansett paint. No Kiwi operators alas. Aussie crews like the aeroplane and it gave trouble free service for a long time, always regarded as bit of a pocket-rocket.
