I now Understand effort in paintin a Camo on to a C130 by Dax , even Rick Piper mention'd effort , I really believe the effort involved , offset windows? this may help with with the mappin and devolping a easy to use paint kit , I will match to suit due nearly every window has a individual stain , Keep it Real! :) :plane:

Great Ian! Sorry the weather has been crap lately and I've been unable to pop around and visit to get this off you.
I promise I'll be round soon! It looks brilliant!

There's a de-engined (and possibly de-winged) one at Whenuapai as well.

Thanx guys , still requires a little work - cabin windows almost have there own invidual appearance , as with engine detail and parts , top off the wings (have plans to help) , require a little artistic licenece

Cheers Ian, I downloaded her last night and took her for a quick spin around Marlborough.

I'm pleased to have another excellent Hawker Siddley added to my aircraft collection, can't wait for your RNZAF paint!

P.S. What routes were these flown on, and what years were they operated in NZ?

Hi Troly

They served the RNZAF from 1976 to the mid nineties. Being RNZAF a/c they did not serve any routes as such but they did RNZAF duties in the Pacific (Fiji etc), Somalia, Australia, South East Asia, the Mid East (including Iraq in the early nineties) and Somalia. The Andovers (10 in total) were ex RAF and were based mainly at Whenuapai but there was a squadron also based at Ohakea for a time. 2 were VIP equiped.

Cheers

Paul
