Hi guys,

The P-47 is pretty much my all time favourite, and the A2A model is top notch in every way...well, almost every way. The drag generated by the landing gear and the effect of the flaps is somewhat radical. There is a long-long debate going on on the forums about what's realistic and what's not but lets not go there. In the end I decided to fiddle with the FDE until I get it behaving on the approach exactly like in this video - approach speed, attitude, etc.

I downloaded Aired, opened the .air file and after hours of testing, I ended up changing only these 4 values in the Primary Aerodynamics section (line number 1101):

Drag Coefficient - Flaps * 2048 = 80
*Lift - Flaps = 1.0000
*Pitch Moment - Flaps=0.015000
*Pitch Moment - Gear=0.0000

I'm pretty happy with the result, here is the Youtube video I uploaded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxosQ7m ... e=youtu.be

Cheers
Dan
