Can anybody help with this ? I've downloaded some Herc paints via captainsim , but I'm not sure how to add them.
Nothing about the ACE, and the old cut and paste to the cfg seems incomplete ....

eg:
[livery]
model=17
texture=CanadaCC130J30DXT5
atc_id = CA601
atc_airline = CAF
atc_flight_number = 601
ui_variation = Canadian Air Force CC130J30 (DXT5).
description = "Canadian Air Forces C-130J30, 601, DXT5 Textures 2008, Sara Louise© saralouise1971@hotmail.co.uk. © 2007 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com "

thats all i get , plus the texture file . Its a shame , because , not only is there the paint but also some texture improvements.

If you have the texture, you can create a file, the specific aircraft copy and to the desktop, copy and paste the texture to it.

You then create a cfg. texture file again simply copy and paste the details but this is were you rename the specific file , almost create your own file name for it for a start, you can now place into the CS-130 folder and away you go .

Another way off doing it is copy and paste the texture onto another same model just for your screenies.

From a quick google on the author, I came up with this, which might be a starting point. A long shot, but worth a try.

QUOTE
[fltsim.x]
title=CS Legendary C130
sim=C130
model=0b
panel=
sound=
texture=can
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=130
atc_airline=RCAF
atc_flight_number=RCAF
atc_heavy=0
ui_manufacturer=Captain Sim
ui_type=C-130E 'Hercules'
ui_variation=Canadian AF
description='Legendary C-130' v.1.1\n© 2005 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com
flg=CanadaAF
ui1=1600
ui5=1[/quote]

You will probably have to rename the texture file CanadaCC130J30DXT5 to texture.CanadaCC130J30DXT5 if it doesn't already have the texture in front of it CS have a habit of leaving it off

Or just rename it texture.can and use Robs cfg edit he posted. Just make sure your [fltsim.x] is sequentially numbered. If you have two the same one wont show (a common cause of some models not displaying for me)

Marty - does it need the texture.cfg fix that we used to make the Mt Cook HS748 show up, in the older paint for the FS2004 model?

Very sure this is a FS9 paint hence the reason it wont work with the ACE setup, following all recommended it would not be hard to get it up and running.

The big thing is, there is Soooo much out there, little files get lost, course reading this you see people have all these little tricks they do to get a paint/file running - same with scenery.
