I have a great photo of one earlier XP-47J flying out, it was the development version of the 70 the unique thing with the photo, appears the pilot is reaching up to pull the canopy closed .. maybe it jammed ? .. the early one was quicker at 507 mph with 2800hp engine were this with its 3450hp engine was 17 mph slower .. impressive looking machines.
