Work on the Warbirds DC3 has been slooooow, just ask Trolly. Once again the default texture nightmare of flipping is causing havoc, AND to make matters worse at the rear of the fuselage the straight lines don't match on both sides ARGGHHHH :@

So, decisions have to be made. I dont want to release a crap skin (and the person who just said it never stopped you before keep quiet!) FSX comes with the source files for the default DC3, soooo, someone who knows what they are doing with GMAX or 3DSMax could adjust the fuselage texture, AND add an additional texture for the other side of the tail. Thus saving me going balled from pulling my hair out.

So, what say you? Anyone up for it? Pleeease, have mercy on me, fix this and we can then do a proper NAC livery and everything to go with the Warbirds one!! Alternatively I could try, but GMAX is scary, and I'm such a delicate thing the trauma of it might permanently damage me

I'll certainly still do it one way or the other Ian, it would be great if someone could make the changes is all. Well see. I promised Trolly, can't let the guy down >nzflag<

The thing is it still needs to work for FS9, even if they did it they most likely would make it FSX only

Well if you were a DC3 nut, you might be tempted to lay out US$30 for the MAAM SIM version.
It's good for FS2002, FS2004, and FSX.
Just a thought...

Thanks for the update Jon- and I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles.

Have you tried the paintkit for the default dc3 by Mark Beaumont? I can only find his MAAM one on the net, but know there is another one lurking somewhere.

If not, I would (and I'm sure heaps of others) be happy with a non 100% realistic paintkit- just anything that resembles the new DAK scheme would be a treat- thanks for putting so much time and effort into it Jon
