PGT said the bow turret was 'modified' for use as a mooring / anchoring station. I think they just removed the gun and gear, and rotated the turret 180°.
Of course I still need to find a way of persuading the Aerosoft model to accept a graft of the PBY 5 front half with the PBY 6A rear, to make a PBY 6 tall tail pure flying boat.
