Hi,

I've owned FSX for the past couple of months. The default aircraft liveries bored me fairly quickly, so I went in search of some freeware aircraft. For the aircraft I have downloaded, I have followed the instructions in the readme files saying where to put various files... When it comes to flying some of these aircraft there are no gauges or HUDs showing on the virtual cockpits (even if the site I have downloaded them from says the aircraft is a complete package for FSX).

Help! What do I need to do?

Also, some downloads say to copy all files including gauges, sounds etc into the aircraft folder which you copy to the 'SimObjects/Aircraft folder'... How come some downloads say to copy the gauge files to the 'Gauges' folder, effects to the 'Effects' folder etc.

Many thanks.

In your root FS Directory (not sure exactly as am not on FS PC at the moment), there should be a folder called 'gauges'. There should also be a folder called 'gauges' in the add-on you downloaded (if it came with a panel).

Copy the contents of the download gauges folder into the FS gauges folder and you'll be sweet. Do the same for effects etc. winkyy.gif

Thanks Alex. I've tried that, as well as leaving those files in the aircraft's own folder, but no luck either way.
