Hey all just getting my new PC all set up with LOTS of horse power!!! drool.gif

So what im looking into is a payware aircraft, but im tossing up between the PMDG 747-400 or the Wilco 737, but the main reason i cant toss up which one i want is because the use of the FMC,
i have read a hell of alot of info about the FMC but i guess i have to use it to experience it, and reading on the PMDG main website it says that the 747 comes with 3-4 tutorials on how to start the beast up from scratch and how to program the FMC, so this to me looks very appealing...so what im thinking is once i can master this beautifull piece of machienery i can go onto the wilco and the flight1 ATR,

i was also looking at the PMDG 737NG but as far as i know the ANZ repains look pretty basic to me (sorry if i have offended any one) if this is a good aircraft then please let me know!!!

your comments please

Cheers all and Fly High New_Zealand_etc.gif

The PMDG 747 and 737 are very much on the same level. The Wilco 737-400 I think is considered to actually be better - more in, depth/performance/better visual model etc but has no manuals.

What's the most complicated thing you've flown before?

You might want to wait for these also:

Umm...i guess it would have to be the Ifly B-747 but i had no documents on how to operate it so i pretty much sat there scratching my head unsure.gif
but everyone raves about the pmdg 747 so i want to see what all the fuss is about?

oh and by the way thanks for the link but to be honest i think Airbus has to be my most disliked aircraft, All boeing for me mate

Cheers though dude

The Level-D 767 is a wonderful aircraft, definately a contender with the PMDG 747 there I'd say. winkyy.gif

PMDG all the way, the wilcos have cr@p looking VCs there is no comp between the too , manuels go pmdg , repaints pmdg at lest they are easyier to go straight to pmdg and download and if you are worryed about the cr@p looking job of them ,you will get the need to learn yourself to paint them up just the way you expect them to be winkyy.gif

In my View the Wilco 737 doesn't have a very good external model. Too fat. But a good VC and all systems modeled The documentation is average. Good for starting engines but not for autopilot and IRS etc. leaving you to find out stuff for yourself. Not the best for fps.

PMDG 737NG. Great external and internal model. Most systems modeled. Not as thorougher as the Wilco 737 as if you forget to switch on an important switch (e.g. Air con off to get enough psi for engine) on start up the engines will still start unlike the Wilco 737. Great documentation (well the Aerosoft manuals) FMC more NAV Data than the Wilco 737.

Both fly really well flying realistically. Are very stable and land very easily. Would recommend both to anyone.
