Hi all

I was wondering if it is at all possible to increase the speed of an aircraft without having the speed wobbles (like editing the aircraft.cfg file??) this is for aircraft that I would fly and not AI, I know this is not realistic but some of my prop a/c I love flying in real time, but are so slowwwww to get anywhere.

Thanks in advance

Why not just accelerate time, rather than the aircraft? You might find it alters the handling of the aircraft when you actually want it to slow down. Accelerating time will get you around the countryside quicker and yet not require you to modify anything :)

I could, but I'm only talking about small distances Like around the north island, and would rather be hands on with the a/c I'm flying otherwise I could use the auto-pilot and that's not what I want either. it's not a problem, just thought there might be an easy way around it. thanks anyway.

Haha, try using time acceleration in an Extra 300!!

If you're talking about Deanes Fletcher, then find the '[Reference Speeds]' section of the aircraft.cfg and increase the 'cruise_speed' value, ie:
cruise_speed= 116.000
to
cruise_speed= 126.000

You might find theres a bit more to it than just that. I think the speeds are affected by drag co-efficients and power. Speed wobbles possibly addressed by having more vertical tail area. The flight dynamics of aircraft are quite difficult to get set up and fine tune.
