Nice one Dan - that colour scheme could of happened as Mount Cook was looking at the ATP before they bought ATR-72s. They actually used a demo ATP on a few routes before they went for thr ATR.

Why the ATR in the first place , the early model had many proven problems , ATP , Well proven 748 base , Demo's were in and outta NZCH during this time , ... Dan , Just turbo-prop a DC-3 , no probs we'll all be happy :) ...... ......................... they even had a AirtechCN235 out here ...... WOW

I think they liked the short runway ability of the ATR as opposed to the ATP which takes a fair length to get in the air, the ATP also had some design problems with the main gear and had a tendancy to stand on its arse if you loaded the back up first

Well this one certainly seems to have put its nosewheel in the runway overrun area...

I have modeled a cargo version where they put a massive door where the rear pax door is located but we havent really textured it up yet, the big hold up is a panel, so if anyone is a panel designer and wants to join a design group who have alot of interesting models in the works just drop me a line

Hey, all I can do is point 'em in the general direction, its up to the little AI people to hit the mark.
Nice looking, certainly looks like it should fly into Wellington...

yes I have seen some pretty cool videos of the things getting tossed about in the wind, they seem to handle it well I guess that is why they use alot of them in the Azores.
