I can remember unwrapping the Airfix box, was there ever a more pugnacious looking thing?
I painted those Invasion stripes in thick Humbrol...
Long after the props were broken, and the undercarriage had been removed, it moved in the breeze, suspended from a black cotton thread.
Guess I have to break out the FSX box, huh?

Love the Beaufighter - none currently flying yet in RL - I think one is close to flying in the UK?

Woo wish I'd grown up on your block!
Mind you, we got our money's worth - it was tough in the plastic too.
Most of our exploits would begin with :"Imagine if... " B-)

Edit: Just read for the first time, how it got its "Look":
The Hercules engines vibrated, so they were hung out on longer supports to lessen the effect.
This moved the cg forward, so they lopped bits off the nose until it balanced again.
One of very few a/c to arrive somewhere, after its props did...

An oddly shaped fuselage, but the black coat of paint on the Night Fighter variant just looks badass :P

Don't single engine aircaft always arrive after the prop (except maybe something like a Lake Buccaneer or a Seawind)?

For a single moment I thought you had me.
Then I saw the "s" on the end of props, and knew my bacon was saved ...again.
Close call. B-)

hmm I have read on an English site that the TFC Beaufighter has been sold and coming to NZ - how true is that I am not sure - maybe we could see the Beaufighter and Mosquito together at Wanaka 2010???
