Hey guys,
Dad had a friend over today who is an A320 captain in Christchurch. He has FSX and said he enjoyed flying the Maule and A321 around, but it turns out he was completely unaware there was a huge Flightsim community with hundreds of thousands of addons.

This is the second time this has happened, I showed my cousin (a Pac Blue 738 Captain) FS and he now has the PMDG 738 and is stoked with it.

Is there a decent A320 out there (with IAE engines if possible) for FS9 or FSX (he can buy FS9 if it means he will have a good A320) that has fairly accurate systems- FMC etc? If it is Payware it's not really an issue.

Thanks.

he best at the mo is the Wilco A320 - or you can wait for the Air Simmer A320 (looks very good) which COULD be out soon or you could wait for another few years for the Airliner XP A320 to be released - which will probably be the defenitive A320 if its ever released

Umm, possibly the Wilco panel merged with the Project Airbus? Or theres always just the wilco package, I think it works in FSX.

I found the Abacus Airbus Collector pack while in the UK last month (I am at work so can't remember the exact name).

It has everything from A319 to the A380. Not sure how good it is though. I had no problem landing the FSX 737, but 3 attempts at landing the A320 from this package has ended in tears.

I am sure it is user error and I am being impatient... but still it is annoying.

I don't think Abacus is the best publishing group around rolleyes.gif

Best in my opinion would definitely be the Wilco at this stage if you're looking for fully working systems smile.gif

Is he didn't want to spend money, you can get a nice model and then get a panel as there are alot of good panels around.

I quite like the Wilco and the Project Airbus, so I'd support the merging idea.
I don't own the Wilco but have used it quite a few times and its pretty good.
It's not going to be 100% like the flying the real thing (but then what is? biggrin.gif) but I would agree that the Wilco is probably the best out there.
