Hey guys

the only knowledge i know of your country is from the odd naval visit to Wellington and the tourist ads aired on Australian TV, beside thats I have no idea

so pretending I know whats in your neck of the woods, i will come clean,

1, whats some good areas to visit?

2, whats some addon scenery that will work with the XuXXhXXd's NZSI scenery or is there a list already complied

3, do you want me to make up a AI shipping package like i did with Aus scenery?

4, do you want me to make up a heli landing spots for helitraffic 09 from flight1

5, is there any payware addons for NZ that will tie in, I rather support you guys than someone else

im keen on doing a lot more flying around your neck of the woods as theres only so much to see here in oz

any help would be greatly appreciated

This is from the standpoint of an American that has been flying in simulated New Zealand for a while now.

I spend most of my time on the North Island. There are numerous highly detailed free and payware airports available for this island, and it really makes flying fun. Examples:
Tauranga
Rotorua
Hamilton
Taupo
Napier/Hawkes
New Plymouth
Wellington
Paraparaumu
Opotiki
Whakatane
Great Barrier
...and the list goes on...
(links/download locations provided on request)

With the exception of Wellington and Paraparaumu which are pretty far south, you can end up with a very nice flying circuit of highly detailed airfields all within reasonable light-aircraft distances from each other.
My personal little circuit involves Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatane, Opotiki, Rotorua, and Taupo, and that can be extended to the more outlying fields too.

I'm less familiar with the South Island, but there are still a number of freeware and payware fields there, including the new RealNZ Nelson, and some freeware locations available through the official VLC website. Also, Mike (Creator2003) has some beautifully detailed freeware renditions of Manapouri airport, Mt. Cook airport, and Milford Sound airport...all in mountainous regions which leads to some exciting flights!

I don't have the Orbx/FTX NZ package (I have VLC instead) so I'm not sure on addon compatibility with that.

For question 3, I'm sure many here would be excited to see a new, accurate New Zealand AI ships system, so if you want to, go for it. Can't imagine why anyone would say no to that!

Question 4...I don't know of anyone that uses that helitraffic program, so I'll wait until we get responses (if any) from users that may appreciate that work.

I was surprised by the level of interest in my FS9 "10 Squirrels" package - over 5,000 downloads, normally NZ stuff has 1,000 or less.
SO yes, I imagine some NZ helo landing spots for Helitraffic 09 might create some interest.
I run the FS9 flavour so hope it can be of use there too!

Old FS9 /2004 , yeah well over 7200 for NZCH and WN and 4200 downloads for others , Robert-Jan Oosterloo off the World Flight Freeware Deposit mentioned just how prolific and the amount of work and scenery that come from this country per capita .

Yeah man, go for it!

Some custom Interislander and Bluebridge ferrys would be cool from Wellington to Picton
Esp. flying over them coming into Wellington.
