Welcome to the new Manapouri-Te Anau Airport, which underwent a 7 million dollar upgrade in late 2007.
The airport is situated 3 nautical miles North-East of the town of Manapouri, and is nestled beside the Southland region's
beautiful Lake Manapouri, in the lower South-Western part of the South Island of New Zealand.
The scenery reflects the upgrades done to the airport, and includes custom terminal buildings and signs (textures included).
The scenery also includes an official GNZLAP traffic file update by Charl Du Toit.

Looks top-notch like all your other stuff Lawrie - although ZK-PAL is now VH-PAL (not that that has anything to do with the scenery, but thought I'd just say lol). smile.gif

Your scenery just keeps getting better Lawrie. I just had to do a FS9 reinstall after a new computer build. Luckily all I had to do was copy across my static objects file (which saved a lot of work). all I had to do was put each airfield folder in the addon scenery folder and remember to do the appropriate flattens, excludes and AFCAD copies to the world/scenery file (as well as remembering to remove the texture folders from Norfolk, Kaitaia and Wanganui. I didn't quite realise how many sceneries that you have actually produced until I had to reinstall them (and I dont have them all yet).
Well done and many thanks for your generous contribution to the flt sim community.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Thanks very much.
Over 60 sceneries on Avsim,............. and still going..................
If you had to remove textures from the Wanganui scenery, that means youve got my old Wanganui from over a year ago.
I released a TOTALLY NEW version of Wanganui a couple of months ago,....it even made it into the November / December issue of PC Pilot magazine, and was on the disc with that issue.
Its freely available from Avsim if you want to replace the old version ( i reccommend you do replace it, the new one is MUCH better !!).

I'll second that, Lawrie, great job. That's what I call a runway, got the Coastguard Cessna down and had a 10 minute
taxi to find the neat building bits. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Snowman's used up all the NZ airports - he now has to model the ones that aren't even built yet!
NZMO management have promised to finish the GA bit in time for the final scenery edition laugh.gif

Yeah,......... its a real shame that theres nothing built on the GA side of the airport yet. The only buildings so far on the new airport are the terminal buildings themselves.
Looks kinda naked without any hangers, or even a clubhouse building etc.............
Any new buildings that get constructed there, as the info comes to hand, i will do an update to the scenery to add them.

Only just seen this one- love the Manapouri area, one of my long time favourite areas in FS, especially with Robin's old Te Anau photoreal!

By the way, where did the kiwi Convair repaints come from? I remember a whole pack of repaints being previewed here once but never found out if they got released to the public?

Hi Andrew. This scenery is as the airport looks at the present moment. The only buildings are the new terminal buildings. The GA side of the airport has no buildings there as yet.
The airport does not sit in the old Godzone FS2002 photoreal very well at all. The runway in FS2004 is in a slightly different location to FS2002, and in the 7 million dollar upgrade the airport has had, the runway was lengthened to over 5000 ft. You could get a B737 in there now .

The NZ Convair pack is available from flightsim.com , filename............... nzcv580.zip
