:hesaid:
Took me a while to realise the odd thing on the port wingtip was just a parallax illusion created by the outboard droop.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Looking good banner team ...great shot Mark.

Adam's done his typical a good job there.

As for me .... WELL .... I've got some 40+ years of civil aviation photography under my belt now.

Started doing it during early 1979 when I was 17.

Covered "almost everything" that passed through AKL/NZAA (just missed our DC-10's though through not having decent SLR equipment until December 1983) until 2000 .... marriage does tend to make a bit of dent in one's freedom and especially when one marries "a foreign girl" :) , so, have covered only what I can since .... and are still doing it despite certain "ball and chain" restrictions and recent COVID imposed disruptions over the past 3 years.

Thanks for what you did there Adam .... appreciated ;)

Yeah lovely shot Mark. Do you share your photos anywhere in particular? Be keen to see more.

PS, slightly off topic maybe, but have been thrashing the HJG/EricCantu/Vistaliner 737-300 and 400 repaints lately in various liveries in the Caribbean, Pacific and Europe, esp. those by Tony and Peter. Work perfectly in P3Dv5 paired up with the CaptainSim 737 panel (had previously let you know I think that they also look/work great with the Wilco 737 panel in P3Dv3).

cheers,
Dean

A lot of my civil aviation photography has been used to illustrate books, magazines, and media stories (I only co-operate selectively in regard to media related requests though :) ), and airline/travel industry related advertising. I've not, yet, set up my own site in order for people to review my past 40+ years of civil aviation photography and don't bother uploading material to any of the major airliner photo hosting sites either. Apart from the above banner image I've posted "a little bit of it" of my stuff on other forums (usually in conjunction with topical discussion/s) "HERE" and per the following link ....

viewtopic.php?f=44&t=29678

.... and also at the end of this following-linked NZFF biography too ....

viewtopic.php?f=56&t=30273

I'll add some more of my civil aviation photography (which doesn't even account for 1% of what I've covered over the past 40+ years) to this thread later on then.

YEAH .... I did pick up on that earlier and also in comments someone made on another FS forum too in response to a recent HJG related PR.

I note your say it works .... and I don't doubt you .... it's just that I don't have P3D in order to be able to eyeball "how these simulations actually perform within that particular FS environment" (HJG does place enormous emphasis upon getting its FDE's as close "as FS will permit" in accordance with RW performances) .... and also .... to be able to assess how the 3D model animations all function too. See "SECTION 1:05 within the following-linked manual I compiled for these B737 simulations and in regard to these animations ....

https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thre ... ling-notes

It's not being sure as to the integrity of these details in P3D that causes me to be "cautious" in regard to promoting P3D compatibility :)

These simulations are FS2004 native .... and FSX portable without any issues (the HJG B733/4/5 panel is FS2004 excluisive though). HJG also provide HQ and customized B737 type CFM-56 turbofan sound packs for which are offered for these simulations as separate FS2004 and FSX specific files :)

B737-300/400/400 SOUND PACKS (video)
https://youtu.be/Zpw1m8m2YKY

The B737 series simlations HJG offer are "based on" the CANTU version, but, "are not" entirely the same as the original CANTU releases. HJG applied some of its own work to these models using source data it was supplied by CANTU. Most, but not all, textures produced "for the original CANTU released B737-300/400/500 models" will work with the HJG released 3D model versions too .... but .... these will appear somewhat dull/matted .... whereas the textures produced by HJG and for the models we offer each display a nice "sheen" due to our treatment of these same newer models. We "did" make "an innocent mistake" though when uploading the similarly edited B737-300WL and -500WL models hosted by HJG. This error came down to the WL's featured on these particular models. We were originally under the impression that CANTU produced these WL's too, but, it was quickly pointed out to us that such "was not" the case .... and we were then suddenly (and quite unfairly too) accused of "stealing" someone else's models but which "was not" the case. After what first seemed like an "incredulous" debate between 2 different groups over a 2 week period following this shock disclosure .... agreement was negotiated between HJG and the rightful owner of the WL features .... to the extent that HJG could continue offering these models provided the appropriate modeler was credited for these WL features .... and which is precisely what HJG have honored ever since. A totally innocent/unintentional error "on our/HJG's part" (I freely acknowledge), but, just one of those unfortunate incidents that can arise every once'n'a'blue moon :( :) ;)

As requested here's a wee bit more of my civil aviation photography taken at AKL (sorry about the PB water marking) .... mostly during the 1980's, and the 1990's too ....
