Although travel has taken me away from the sim for a couple of months (sigh!!), I am still following events online. One thing that I have been wondering about is what may happen to the NZFF after Orbx release a NZ set. I see how the Orbx forum has grown and now that they are also covering parts of the USA, then they will go from strength to strength.
How do you think that this will affect the NZFF?
Hoping that one does not force out the other.......
smooth landings.

Not really too sure what the two have to do with each other, really. Does Orbx have a killer forum which will replace all other forums? Not as far as I'm aware.
Orbx produce a replacement set of ground textures, landclass and autogen for localised simming. Because they are 'son-of-VOZ', they also have a number of Aussie locals producing airports as well. Their current releases are all Australian, because they have specific access to these resources -- getting the same thing from anywhere else would be a bit of an undertaking, not to mention the design talent -- how many of them would be prepared to relocate to the US, for instance, to build a major airport? Grabbing the Aussie market isn't the same as grabbing everything, everywhere. So I would think that their future releases would be ground texture/landclass/autogen only.
I must admit that I've always doubted that a Orbx for NZ would eventuate -- since they have proved the concept in Australia, they'll move onto a much larger market, not a tiny one like NZ.
