Hey guys I dont normally post advertisements but I have come across a site Flight Sim Deal of the Day which might be quite useful. They e-mail with new deals every couple of days like today I bought Hawaii Mega Scenery for $4.99(US), 67% off.

Thanks for that! I've just signed up. I was grateful for the heads-up on the Captain Sim sales a while back (I nabbed a few!!), so I appreciate posts like this thumbup1.gif

Anyone actually getting any emails from the mailing list? I subscribed (and checked my spam filters) ... but nothing.

Thanks for that. I've bookmarked it in my browser now - and have re-registered. Maybe I'll get tomorrow's email.

I nearly went for that A400M - I'm such an Airbus fanboi laugh.gif

i can recommend the kodiak highly, did a review on it last year, it is one of my fav bush a/c, great thing about the site, on the weekend they redo all the deals of the week, so you get a second chance. i have brought the epic lt and the EC135 (my first chopper)

great site, but still do not get the emails sent to me, so i just check every day bvefore i go to work

I think you only get them if you register fully on the site. I emailed them about the problem, but registered at the same time as they (apparently) added me manually, so I don't know which worked.

I did sign up for the newsletter without registering about 4 times over 10 days - and nothing, so I suspect they have it [badly] set up so that it only works if you register with the site (you don't need to actually buy anything). There's also a problm when you actually buy something - you have to log in to the site from the front end. Logging in from the Shopping Cart page doesn't work [sigh].

Still, I just *lurv my Kodiak*, so it was worth the perseverance! I may just go for the A340 I was too mean to buy last week.

Just had a few more flights with the Kodiak. It really is quite an amazingly detailed add-on. I grabbed the extra repaints today ($2 US donationware) plus the hi-res cockpit etc.

I've bought a fair few aircraft over the years (but don't tell HER !!!) and have been disappointed by the odd one. This one, however, just oozes quality from the moment you load it up. Are there any [real ones] flying in NZ?

BTW - it's still on www.flightsimdealoftheday.com ... for a massive $12.48 ($18 NZ) ... now that's what I call a bargain!
