It's fast approaching time to renew the annual site hosting, and we are once against asking for donations to cover the cost.

Membership of NZFF is free, and will continue this way, so contributions are purely voluntary. So please give some thought to the value that you put on NZFF, and contribute accordingly!

Making a donation:
This is once again via the Godzone Online Store. Within the store donations are handled as a normal 'purchase', so you will need to sign up to the store. If you have donated before, via the Store, you will probably need to sign up to the store again, as the Store has been upgraded since last year, and existing accounts were not transferred.

Donations are based on set amounts, as that's the way the store works. These set amounts are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25 and $30. Simply select the amount via the radio buttons on the donation 'product' page. As always, you can add more than one donation amount to your 'shopping cart' if you wish, however to keep things fair -- and allow everyone to contribute:) -- consider sticking to the suggested amounts. If donations fall short at the time that the site renewal is due, we can always call for the more generous donors to step forward again...

Donations can be made by VISA and Mastercard, or by Paypal which includes support for other credit cards. You can also pay via bank deposit or internet transfer within New Zealand. Full details are given within the Store at the time you make your donation. Sorry, but the Store no longer accepts payment by cheque.

Visit the Godzone Online Store to make your donation.

We look forward to your donation. The donation facility is supplied by Godzone Virtual Flight, so please take a good look around the Store while you make your donation, there are plenty of nice scenery products which you are welcome to throw into your shopping cart!

Any problems or queries, just ask here, or contact me through the Store contact page.

A quick update here -- thanks to those who have already made a donation.

Things have got off to a pretty quiet start compared to previous years, with $210 raised so far. I think that last year we managed $400 in the first few days. Luckily there's still plenty of time to bring this up to our goal of $500. If you do intend to make a donation, please don't leave it too long, otherwise you might miss out:)

Thanks for the reminder- Donated then.

I like to remind myself how much entertainment this site provides and consider, for example, what a few beers cost in comparison. New_Zealand_etc.gif

Mmmm, beer...

One thing I meant to mention, although donations have been slower this year, we did start with $97 from the Tauranga Airshow, so this brings the total up to $337 as of today.

Reminder time -- if you intend to donate, then June is the time to do it! This is the first year that I've started to get concerned that we won't reach our goal.
The recommended donation amount is $10, and you can use internet banking if your credit card is taking a rest. You could even pop into the BNZ make a deposit if you haven't got the hang of internet banking... When you make your donation, all the necessary steps will be advised.

Pop over to Godzone to make your donation now!!!

Cheers to those who got onto this today. A good response so far.

Naki, I do remember you slipping 20 bucks (at least...) into the kitty at the airshow, so this is more than generous.

Another 10 to 15 donations should do it!

It'll have to be $5 for now, bank account looking a little low

How long will the donation page be up for? May have to come back again.

Hey, $5 is good. I haven't yet figured out when this is due, but it may be about time that we organised something permanent, so it may stay up for a while yet.

I've managed to find details of our web hosting account -- hosting plus domain name renewal comes to $449.78. Donations to this moment have totalled $435.00, but we already had $97 in the kitty from the Tauranga airshow.

So we've reached our target, thanks to the members who contributed.

This year I will leave the donation 'product' on the Store, as some members have asked that this be available throughout the year, not just the month before site renewal is due.

You can still make a donation, but note that there is no need for the top-up which some donors had suggested -- just one donation per member per year is sufficient:)

A special thanks to our commercial sponsors --

Giod lord, what sort of hosting plan are we on ??? I know we'd chew through a fair bit of data but $400 ?
