I spend a lot of time in my PM box trying to answer the messages each day which can with the 5 min block per message a hour to answer them all ,not because im slow just because the message gets blocked from being sent out for 5 minutes ,can we lower this limit 1-2 min ,also while on the PM box is there a way to increase my mail size account ? a PM box with a 100 limit and 10 coming in a day just doesn't add up for me personally when some have info i need to keep for a bit ..

Have the very same problem , spend so much time waiting to reply and think it possibly needs to be adjusted .

I'm looking at a way to side-step the PM restrictions for moderators, but I don't think that is possible. However I might have found a way around it, let me know if anything has changed for you two.

I actually thought that the message limit was 250, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I might have managed to increase the limit for some, but not quite sure:) Have a look, Mike, and let me know if you are getting more space.
Just to make it clear:
The PM limits are still in place, as they serve a very important function. The PM flood control limit of 5 minutes for most members is to prevent a spammer causing any problems. This has happened before, with a link to a web page which infected some member's computers. The idea is to make it more likely that a spammer would be tumbled before causing too much damage. Given that an attack might happen while most NZers are asleep, it is entirely possible for someone to send PMs to 8 x 12 (8 hours times five-minute intervals) = 96 members before they are discovered. Reducing the time to 2 minutes between messages increases to risk to 240 members approx.
Regarding the saved PM limit, this will remain the same for most members. For moderators, and those with their own subforums, the limit might be higher now. However this isn't automatic, so if you feel that you entitled to this status, let me know.
