I don't tinker with FS9 as much as I used to as I think I've got it pretty much right in the last 8-9 years or so. But you never know! Might be some great tip I don't see as I don't get out much in the forum worlds these days.
There are still FS2004 people here, we're just getting greyer by the day

Having purchased all the Microsoft flight sims as soon as they were released; FS '98, (CFS 2), 2000, 2002 Pro, 2004, and FSX,* the one thing that has kept me/us firmly welded to FS 2002/FS 2004 was, and still is; "FS Navigator" by Helge Shroeder, especially during our on-line Multiplayer flights, where we can keep a Satellite eye on each other in real time, and everyone around us, and elsewhere!
It has been somewhat been taken over by; "Plan-G" for FS 2004/FSX, and "FSTramp" for FSX, but neither has reached the perfection of the original; "FS Navigator".
I still find it vital for all my daily flights; both Solo, and Multiplayer!
Mind you....there are lots of other reasons why all we; "Oldies/Ancients" love our FS 2004 to bits!...

Paul....with my FSX sulking in the corner...

* I still have them all, in their Boxes/Jewel cases, for instant nostalgia try-outs!
Every day I read the horror stories of frustrated FSX pilots, on the various, popular Flight Sim Forums, and I think to myself..."For goodness sake, why don't you abandon FSX, and purchase FS 2004 instead, so that all your troubles will suddenly cease, and you will enjoy pretending to "fly" again, every day, with no more endless; "fiddling about!")...

...even Bill Gates has given up on it...so there's a warning for you...
