Thanks for the votes!
Greg was pretty-much in my slipstream all the way, and I suspect that if voting was a more popular past-time (say, if 10% of members voted...) then things might have turned out differently.
Here's an actual conversation with my flatmate yesterday: (Not the actual actual conversation, just the gist, I sometimes forget what I'm saying while I'm saying it...)
Me: Look at this, this is the best banner comp on the forum, it's been going for almost a week and there's only 20 votes.
FM: Who's winning?
Me: That's not the point, the point is all people have to do is to click a couple of buttons to vote, and they just don't bother.
FM: Who's in the lead?
Me: 'THAT'S NOT THE POINT I'M TRYING TO MAKE!!! I'M JUST SAYING THAT PEOPLE JUST DON'T BOTHER TO VOTE!!!!
FM: But who has the most votes so far?
Me: That's hardly the point... actually, I'm in the lead...
FM: Well done! You must be pleased!
Me: Have you heard a word I've said, about that not being the point!!!!!? But yeah, I'm pleased...
I'll say this in Ianglish -- 'dang', that's a great prize, thanks, Ian.

I like that, FM should have tried to talk to LF but then LF would have scratched FM like LF sometimes did to ME and sure FM would not like LF anymore
I have a funny feeling exactly what you may choose ... wonder if we should run a competition on the drawing your going to decide off your choice and see how many votes we get

On a completely unrelated note, do you know what the biggest problem is with the world today?
The demise of amphibious aircraft in New Zealand.
Every time I hear an aircraft go overhead, I check the harbour just in case, but so far nothing has ever landed on the water. The closest thing would be the helicopters when the Canterbury was here after the earthquake.

Gawd! it would have been great if had that Grumman Goose amphibian service kept going .. only a couple months operational and the company folded .. I really wanted a ride and from the co-pilots seat as well .. just not enough interest ........ Hmmm seems like the voting here sometimes
