How dose the NZ Telecom stack up to today's changes, I left telecom 12 years back due to incompetence/breakdowns and connection speed, how do they fair today, have they picked up the ball game and provide a service with which I very happy with since it changed to VODA .. gone eight months now and still ROBOTS RING demanding moneys.

Clearnet was great then it went to TelstarClear - still fine ... then it went to the 'V' Vodaphones Robot rung yesterday saying I was $83.56 now in dept be on the phone all morning .. billing department says its $70,77 cents ... ? accounts really don't appear to no what they are doing ... last month it was 677 plus dollar , speaking to some dribble head this morning (oh jolly blimey sir .. its your fault) Crap been at this for 8 months .. since VODA took over or least since I found out the fresh new deal ... Great but account services are pathetic !

Hang on .. it was $677 and a bit last month .. were do the numbers fit ? .. now down to 70.77 and 83.56 via Robot yesterday.

Big company's .. They dictate , automatic payments at $100 for 12 years and now until the faggot name change ... I want to keep my identity ianwarren@ .. as it was at clearnet.com , is this possible if or when I change back to Telecom and the service is going to be the same .. don't think so , 12 Years is a long time to keep with an honest name.

Similar experience, I started with Ihug, which was bought by Vodafone, service went downhill, moved to Telstra which has since been bought by Voda. Reasonably happy so far, I have looked at Spark recently, but decided to stay where I am.
One thing, not really relevant, recently shifted from Spark to Voda for mobile, amazed at how much better the performance is now.
Never been a big fan of Spark since the telecom days, they terrorised my staff over yellow pages listings, which was such a evil thing to do.

Be interesting to see the reply here ... up at half 3 this morning , I wonder how many others get caught out and this is were company really rake in the money and of course there is the ... corruption in the offices , you see it all the time . I found an old TelstarClear bill date Nov 6th 2012 < I want to know how come the billing gos up and down , then they dictate DO THIS BOY ! or ya terminated !

Well! It looks like I'm forced to pay the bloody $70.77
cents - THANKs VERY MUCH!

1 . Attached is the only pre VODAPHONE bill showing exactly
how my bills were payed.

2 . From that date of the attachment 06 Nov 2012 I want
every statement, every historical statement.

3 . I want every PDF file dated from the 15th of June 2015 ,
I have two saved here, I am going to need this information
when I go to the bank.

4 . I want to no when VODAPHONE brought out TelstarClear and
why I was not notified and why billing was still the $100 on
an old plan, skimming it seems to me.

5 . Why was I not informed I was on an old plan paying $20
dollars extra from the date of the changed over and only
phone TelstarClear because I went over the limit by a $1.44
cents only to find this out !

6 . Customer Care - RIBBISH!

Hey Ian. I've been a Telecom home customer for years, performance was always fine but recently I've just lost patience trying to contact anyone, their call centres seem to be woefully under-staffed. I went to enquire about plans for my business (have just gone contracting) and never did get ahold of anyone other than a robot. Rang Vodafone got straight through, signed up and seems OK so far.

Ordered a Fibre install, supposed to be coming for the measure-up next week, could be awhile till anyone actually turns up with a spade, nevertheless the fibre stuff is independent of the carrier so cant really blame Vodafone if it takes ages.

Re your charges to shut off your plan, your pretty much buggered there, when you signed up surely they must have informed you there was a minimum plan period and an early termination clause?

Oh and re the email address, why not just get yaself a Google email like the other 7 billion people on the planet. I haven't used an ISP email address for a good ten years or more, just not worth it when you lose it if shifting carriers

Yeah I was aware off the Clause .. almost like waiting for Santa ... every month for the last now 10 to 8 months the digital bill went up and down like hores draws .. nobody had an answer for it and all I got was it chimed off because appears no one person even cannot figure the WHAT EVER CAUSED IT! in the first place .. everything has been auto payment via the bank - since Clear TelstarClear to Voda .. They appear not to want to recognize the problem ... now going 10 months since I first picked up on it ? ......

That's another thing about Vodafone, they've committed to a 'no wait' help desk, so you shouldn't wait for more than a couple of rings -- in my experience, they pick up before I realise I'm connected. So despite the fact that they aren't perfect, they are trying, I guess.
