Hi guys,

I have set up my own virtual airline on my sim called "KiwiHopper". This is just for fun. KiwiHopper runs short hop flights in the South Island.

Routes Include:

* Queenstown - Milford Sound
*Christchurch - Queenstown
*Nelson - Christchurch
*Invercargill - Milford Sound
etc
etc

KiwiHopper has 4 types of aircraft in their fleet:

*Dash Q-300
*ATR-72
*B1900d
*Twin Otter

Tonight i have flown from Queenstown - Milford Sound and back. The weather closed in on the way and i had to land in thick fog. Great fun with my new joystick!!

I just thought i would share this idea with you all.

Thanks, ScottyB

Very good, I have painted some of Mike Stones' planes in er..... 'Scott Air' livery and have them buzzing around as AI traffic. Not very exciting paintjob though-just the name in highlighter green and all the rest is white!

Cool. I did something familiar: Created my vintage airline company called OldTime Air (quite stylish isn't it smile.gif )
It has only old kiwi planes like DC-3, De Havilland Dove, De Havilland Dragon, Lockheed Electra and the bit more modern HS748. I love to do short flights around New Zealand. I turn on real weather, and FSPassengers (with custom kiwi voices installed), fly on real routes using real charts (AIP), so this gives me a real exciting experience and even if it's still "dead" a bit, I really enjoy it and it is challenging. Most of the cases I don't have autopilot, simetimes only an ADF radio no VOR or GPS (DH Rapide). Listen to some nice music from 60's or 70's (like in Forest Gump) and of course the loud engines besides me smile.gif
So, this is how I roll. I would welcome other good ideas to make flightsim more and more exciting.
