I don't get many looks, mind you with me eyes down a lens I don't tend to see them.

No, that was from the ferry leaving for Waiheke Island. And yes, I have downsized it to 1900x1200

Although you can't really see it in your photo, I like the new LAN Chile livery. Perhaps a future one for you Jon? Or is it NZ liveries only?

I stick with NZ aircraft mostly David, but aircraft that visit regularly have been known to end up under my paintbrush

Thought I'd replace Ruapehu (Yours!) with that as my desktop.
Only it's so bright it's like a searchlight.
So I now have Rangi instead, thanks Jon keep 'em coming. ;)

You didn't happen to be in the domain last night for the fireworks did you Jon- they where something else!

Great photos as always, love the Mechanics Bay sunset!

On the subject of LAN and smokey touchdown shots, I thought I'd throw this one in the mix:

Ive seen many a average landing from LAN a/c at Auckland. One hit the deck, ballooned uo to about 30ft and then hit again real hard! Ive got it on video too! Lol :P

Cargolux are pretty good for producing rather average landings too. That said, I can't exactly criticise a 744 pilot on his landing technique. :P
