Just a couple from today, and a few days ago......promise to leave you all alone for a while after this.... smile.gif
Got caught by the security dude taking the pic of the convair....its in a restricted area, but it was really quiet....i couldn't resist....otherwise you never get to see her, always in and out at night....the guy had no sense of humour at all.......but i got the pic.

Cheers winkyy.gif

Dont worry, your not the only ones to have 'dealings' with avsec. I got in trouble for saying it at work once but Ill say it here.... A vast majority of them are a pack of w*nkers. Enough said.

Aren't they like those First Security guys in the sense that a lot of them wanted to be Cops but fell short of the requirements?

Cool pics, I often hear a Convair fly over each night PMR-CHC but don't often get to see it up close.

Yeh the bad ones are those types but the others are really good. Seems to be both ends of the spectrum.

I miss my old airport sad.gif

I remember one time I was over at the airclub filming and I think it was an a340 was starting to taxi and a gentleman asked me if I wanted to get a bit closer, does a fish swim in water?

Anyways, he took me out close to the grass runway, and I asked, won't we get in trouble - he said if you were a terrorist, you would of likely got a matress and jumped over the lower fence at the end of rwy 29.

Always remember that, I use to love going out there.

On a Monday morning I get to see the Singapore 777 coming in to land as I'm driving into Midland in Perth, would love to get closer to one of those pretties.
When asked what I have contributed to on this earth my reply will be my daugther

Were these taken airside? Or do you just have a really great spot for spotting?

Sweet pics BTW mate. I wouldn't say they were boring at all. Actually, it's quite nice to get a look at what goes on at other airports. Especially seeing as the most exotic thing we get at Rotorua is the A320 and the occasional RNZAF Herc.

Thanks Anthony.......the airbourne was taken at the end of Rwy 20,C-130 C-17 and convair we obtained by avioding the security guys ninja.gif B777, taken from the terminal roof, and the Singapore 777 thru a whole in wire fence.
The Convair pic looks better now......i removed that light stand with editing software.
Im out there almost everyday(cant work at the moment) as my partner works for a japanese company , and meets and greets off NZ90,98, and SQ.........i dont mind at all.....but i am running out of stuff to get pics of.....might shout myself a trip to AKL or WGTN for a day.

Thanks again Anthony.....cheers .
