So are these things going to be based up North for their whole visit here in NZ? Was hoping they'd stay here in ChCh for the days they actually fly down to Wanaka to do the displays etc.

Members of the public in the vicinity of Air Force Base Ohakea are advised the presence of the jets will likely see an increase in noise levels from 30 March -12 April
People living in the vicinity of Christchurch International Airport are advised of fast jet activity from 1-4 April.

I must confess I snuck out to Ohakea to watch. It was really cool!

Got some great video - may put it up at some point if I find the time.

Just heard from a friend who lives down there, the weather is not good....expecting gales and all sorts of things, which is a shame. sad.gif
So maybe , we wont have missed much. I hope they get a break in the weather at some stage .

I've been watching the weather reports for a few days now, and they've been predicting it. sad.gif
Had the skies been thought to be blue all weekend, I probably would have gone. I went in 2002?, when it was snowing on the nearby hills, and poured with rain. Horrible experience!
