Who knows - it could be a fake. One of the guys from work found it on the Nasa Astronomy Picture of the Day website so I think it might well be legit. WHAT!!!! are you saying that NASA integrity would have "edited" photos of man made vehicles and the moon together in one shotNahhh they would'nt dare.

Well, there you go - sometimes life is stranger than fiction. It's certainly a 1-in-a-million shot, despite his preparations. He still had to have the moon in the right place, no clouds, and the aircraft pass just in the right place. Useful that the pilot(s) flying that route are so exacting in their routine...
