Hello from Switzerland!!!

This morning I took a flight in a Eurocopter A350, near perfect weather, around the famous mountains such as the Eiger. The camera was busy, both with stills and video. Here are a few of the first shots:-

The photos came out quite well considering that they were shot through the perspex. Might ask them if we can fly without the door on next time. and also take the shots in RAW format.

Highly recommended flight if you are in Switzerland, and occasionally it is nice to let somebody else do the flying so that you can do some photos!!!

smooth landings.

Oddly enough, despite the fact that it was Switzerland (where things are not cheap) the flight was not expensive, only 220 CHF, which works out at $306NZ, so not expensive at all for a 35 minute helicopter flight. I will try to get the video edited and in some sort of order then will post that too.

Since I am still in Switzerland, I dare not say which is prettier, the Swiss Alps or the Southern Alps, although I might be biased towards one!!

smooth landings.

Jerry , when you look at the alps , compare them the Southern Alps they appear to be less aggressive , not as rugged , maybe its the constant weather changes , rego ? HB yeah yeah but the ZKT , is that for New Zealander Traveller ?

et voila, here is a short video of the trip. I was using the still camera to take both video and still shots, so there are some gaps when I changed to taking stills, but the video still gives a sense of what it was like:-

Impressive views , strange hoe looks so calm cold yet fly back threw the valley back to the heli base , a very uncluttered cockpit smile.gif
