Helicopter ops to Motukokako Island (Cape Brett)

Postby cowpatz » Tue Apr 26, 2022 8:26 am

A couple of videos from my partner's recent trip to the Hole in the Rock island (Motukokako) at Cape Brett. She and her son stayed overnight on the small island as part of a survey team that monitors the Gecko and Petrel numbers there.
This is carried out every 6 months. The heli is a Jetranger operated Salt Air and it ferries the team and their gear between the Marae at Rawhiti to the rock. It can be a tricky place to operate in and out of.
My apologies for the low quality.
