It seems to be a PT-6 thing as the 1900's have the same thing.

My personal opinion is that it makes the best effort for the exhaust to flow freely out into the airflow and create more thrust?

Using exhaust , Spitfire was a classic extra thrust from bending and re-model the exhaust stacks.

The 1900D has the right hand exhaust on each engine pointed upwards to keep soot etc off the wing. The 1900C doesn't have this feature and as such I've noticed the ones we fly get dirty quite quickly, as the propwash pushes the exhaust down onto the wing as it flows backwards. I can only assume there is a similar reason on the 750. Thrust from the exhausts is minimal.

Keeping the soot out of the meatbomb's faces would be my guess on the Pac

Would be no thrust pointing heading lateral point of direction, I think its a torque fix, port side the exhaust is down an directly inline with passenger doors.
