Well said Lidstream, I think they should have gone for the 737 MAX instead.

I'm very sure the Dash8 are the better simply can't carry PAX you can add cargo so making it cheaper .. I'm only guessing but cargo makes an airline more money s but also field operation and running is almost the same .

As I understand it they are only selling a few at this stage as the new ATR 72s come on board which are replacing Q300s which in turn are replacing some 1900s

Guess as communities grow so dose the need for a larger aircraft and with more comfort and range, course my previous comment with cargo .. logical ?

My understanding is that the 1900s are just too expensive to run on scheduled flights.

A Q300 probably doesn't cost a whole lot more to operate and can use most of the runways that Eagle's 1900s do, whilst also offering passengers a flight attendant, a toilet and lower seat mile costs = cheaper airfares.

Eagle's days are numbered.
