Any idea what type of aircraft has "Toll" on it's tail? It sort of looks like a 737, but something about the size in relation to the other aircraft makes me think it's probably something else.

737-300 Pete , if the photo was expanded to show the F-27 tail it would give a better perspective smile.gif

Yeah, as Ian says, it's a 737 Classic (300 series) thumbup1.gif

Here's some useful info on Mike Condon's blog about their presence at Auckland, they are AirWork owned machines that fly for TOLL in Australia but return to Auckland periodcally for maintanance...

It was actually parked outside next to ZK-FXT when we first got their but by the time we were leaving it had been moved into the hangar - other wise could of got a better pic.

No complaints about the pic - it's actually a really interesting perspective and shows multiple aircraft as well. Well, despite doubting my first impression, I'm glad to hear that I was right in thinking it looked like '37. I couldn't think what else that size would fit, but with the F27's stabilser out of frame the size difference was exaggerated. I did note the lack of winglets, so figured if it WAS a '37 it would be one of the older ones. Do any of the more modern aircraft have the APU exhaust at the back like the '37 does? I'm more familiar with WWII-era aircraft, but am slowly working on my modern civil airliner recognition... smile.gif

As with the Boeing's the 747 is a classic with the APU exhaust out the back along with a few Brits .. BAC111 and the French Mercure .

I like that 3rd shot, even though the aircraft is hard to see: very "moody". I like. cool.gif I've not seen such a "vanilla" '37 like that white one: looks naked! laugh.gif
