A few shots taken taken at NZAA yesterday (01/01/2010). It was a stunning day biggrin.gif with 23L in use and so I thought I'd share my favorites so here goes...

767-300 with the cool winglets rolleyes.gif This was my favorite shot

A320

Atr72

Beech 1900D

737-800

There weren't really any heavies when I went there except for a 777 which I missed and an A340 which I had zoomed out too far sad.gif

Nice shots 737NG......Ive been trying to get a good one of a B1900 for ages.....but they move so fast, strange, because the boeings etc dont seem to be a problem.
I was out at NZCH this morning just in time to see the Libyan A340 ready to leave....reached for the old cybershot....opened it up.... sad.gif .....left the Bl***y battery at home.

Also missed 2 missed approach's. An ANZ 73 coming from the north seemed to be all over the place on his turn to final, then just powered it away. He was followed by a Pacblue73 , who asked the tower if the miss by ANZ was due to wind shear.....tower refered him to the ANZ guy who said "no shear... ahh....we just had a height verses distance issue".....PACBLUE replies "better luck next time"
Turned out they both missed 29 as the wind changed real fast, and they were sent around for 20.....interesting morning.

Anyway, great shots, thanks for shareing thumbup1.gif

Cheers

Cool shots mate, the 763s with Wingletts do look cool!

Even though the 1900D is such an odd looking beast, I really wanna fly one.

Awesome shots there mate thumbup1.gif I really like the 767 pic as well. I also like the A320 and ATR shots a lot.

Ben, the Beech is a pretty good ride for a small hop. Only 2 rows so every seat is both window and aisle (except for the windowless seats at the front). 1B is the equivalent of the jumpseat, with a headset connection and a good view out the front. No cockpit door either. The small size also makes for good people watching and a rollercoaster ride in turbulence.

That would have been cool to watch, I love the comment by the pacific blue pilot "better luck next time"

thanks for sharing the shots, makes me want to go out and snap some heavies as well. Will recharge the batteries ready!! Nice to see the views from under as a change from the 'standard' views.

smooth landings.
