went up to Auckland tuesday re: super Hornet Arrival - no F/A-18 photo's only got video of them arriving - these may be of interest - pretty stock standard AKL Airport Photo's:
(probably far to many Photo's - apologies if their is)


some cops waiting around for the super hornets to turn up.

thumbup1.gif nice shots Ham....where did go to get the landing shots.I had a day up there last week, and couldn't find anywhere outside to get good pics.
They have the "skydeck" in international, but thats just a glass box with no where to sit.
I guess next time I'll venture a bit further afield.

Love that LAN airbus, along with the 747's we dont get the 340's anymore down here. Again, nice shots.....thanks Ham smile.gif

splitpin RE: viewing their are two public viewing carparks located on puhinui rd on the eastern entance to the airport great views down the runway - but it is a long way to walk down their from the domestic terminal - car recommended hope that helps cheers.

was a good morning
I see the partinavia at the hold at A1A in a couple of shots
that was while I was on tower so I was the tower controller for most of the first half of these - had to go home before the bugs got in though - they should have been there about 3pm but got delayed a couple of hours and I wasn't goin to stick around that long.
some of the guys at work got some good photos - I'll see if I can get a few and put them up
