Photo of Phil Makannas camera ship as we headed out to mee the Zero and P40.

This was taken from the rear seat of a Harvard while we were waiting to get some air time with the Zero on the Tuesday.

You would think we were in the middle east.

Heat haze takes out the Hornet.

This was taken at 4500ft while waiting for the La-9 to come up alongside, quite a view.

The Controllers.

Good times at Wanaka.

All fantastic shots Gavin - the last one is especially awesome though, and also the one of the controllers with Jurgis in the background.

I missed Wanaka this year, but this makes me feel a lot better!
Some amazingly dynamic shots, thanks for that.

thumbup1.gif Great shots Gavin....the faces of the airshow (and the planes). Love that P-40 pilot looking skyward.
Thanks for posting....awesome.

Absolutely stunning photography, thanks Gavin Conroy for sharing them.

I notice that Rob Borrius Broek's Mustang "Dove of Peace" has now got cuffed props, proper P51 wheels with treaded tyres and canopy isn't tinted anymore.

These are absolutely amazing shots, Gavin!
Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm particulary fond of the close-ups. Very nice to see the people behind (or better: in) the engines!

If only there weren't so many thousand of miles between us...

Cheers,
Markus.

Waouwwwwwww .............

Great report, many thanks for sharing those pictures.

Living in Belgium, I'm used to see all these birds and don't talk about the landscape ....

Regards.
