...there's nothing like the inlet of a CFM56 to provide a little leeward shelter!

glad to see he did it safely, got the cone in the right place! They are a pretty good perch, and if its on the right gate at welly you get a bit of warmth coming though it, better near the back end when its real cold! biggrin.gif

He's just in there to scare the birds , they give him 20 seacons before start , as for the first maybe Jenny Criag would help.

Easy now, guys...we are talking Baggage Handling here, and this a Giant Oak of a man.
The camera angle is deceptive, most would look porky from up there!
His mate was as impressive, I thought he'd just shake the baggage cart out into the hold....
What I loved about all this:
The cone is there to demarcate the safety zone for the handlers to work in.
But only while actually handling the bags.
Before the cart arrived, The Dude plonked the cone down and leaned happily into the intake, out of the wind.
When his mates arrived, they carefully stuck to the OSH manual, working inside the safety zone.
As soon as the cart left, The Dude once again cosied up to the CFM, until about 30 seconds before pushback.
Then picked up the cone and ambled off to the next job.
To the letter...

i can confirm that, with all the gear on the michellen man looks skinny, i can testify that the engine is a nice warm spot on a cool day, same goes for the saab and atr exhausts, espically if the wind was blowing just right
