Something Unusual

Imagine my surprise yesterday........the rain was just starting, the umbrella was up, and the only reason that I was waiting was to get a photo of the late running (late again) Thomas Cook A321. Almost gave up waiting when I saw it approaching. Landing light on and straight in approach. Remarkable how similar it looks to a DC-3 I thought, then I saw that it was not the A321, nor a DC-3, but the turbine conversion of the DC-3, the Basler BT-67. Even more interesting is that this aircraft was first registered in 1943 (!!) and is now flying polar missions. Judging by the boxes visible in the windows, it was fully loaded as well.

HT , great shots just go's too show, they never did replace the dear old Dak....just made her better. And that is a nice little Fokker as well.

Yeah , just would,t sound right taxing past you and it sounds more like a Dash8 or ATR .
