Interesting. What is the purpose of the round ojbects in the intakes of the engines? They appear to block off a lot of the air flowing into the engines, wondering what are they for?

curious. Good set of photos there though, good exposure on them and sharp too.

Superb Set Ham , gotta love this Helicopter , so aggressive and really look they have job to do .

I believe they FOD ingestion fairings or along those lines .

I think they are 90 degree gearboxes, to provide drive inwards from the engine to the central combining gearbox from which the main and tail rotors are then driven.
