The year is rapidly coming to an end, and will be having a break from the computer over the christmas season but just wanted to thank everyone who has helped with the flying this year. That includes engineers, admin people, pilots, owners and operators etc.
So many amazing opportunities have been offered to me this year, all of which I am very greatful for.
Have flown with around 30 different aircraft during 40 flights so a good year and have done some things I would never have dreamt possible just a few years ago.
Couple of rough patches here and there so have crossed a couple of people off my christmas card list but hey thats life as dissapointing as it is.
Here are a few of my favourite photos from this year. Have hundreds more I could post but wont.
As the festive season is almost here I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.

Cheers Gavin.

Fantastic shots there Gavin, up to the usual standards, and a real pleasure to look at.

Just wondering if some of these will make it into the next volume of the book, they would look great printed out large.

Thanks for posting them, inspiration to us all,

smooth landings.

Great trawl, and thanks for all the postings through the year.
I rate the wheels-down -TAF as being one of the all-time great Warbirds photos: the pleasure the machine is giving the pilot is evident, and actually a dam' lucky shot.
I'd also add the Vampire/Mosquito formation pair over Auckland as quite memorable.

It was as good as I imagined and is something many of us have wanted to do so quite fortunate really and it sure was great looking down that beautiful wing but it was a photo flight so was rather busy.

However flying in the Mosquito was out of this world and might write a story on that one.

Here is some fantastic footage captured a few weeks ago during our photo shoot using the Spitfire as a camera ship to photograph the Mosquito and Vampire.
Tony positioned his helicopter well to capture some fantastic footage with his amazing camera gear and what a cool souvineer to take away from an amazing flight.
Am often asked how close the aeroplanes fly during our flights so this will give you a good idea.
