Not a lot of excitement in Banjul International airport, Gambia, but here are a couple of shots a little out of the ordinary. Stored on the main apron is this Illyushin Il-62M, one of the government aircraft.

and another government aircraft, the 727.

the president of Gambia can be seen in white in the stand. Regular flights were delayed to allow the president to depart. Not seen a stretched Hummer before!

smooth landings.

Great photos Jerry cool.gif , the Ilyushin - i saw my first one ways back in 1973 , biked out to the airport in its old Aeroflot scheme , ironic the this aircraft with GAMBIA wrote in large across the fuselage , the other NZ connection was it the name of the WWII cruiser that replaced both HMNZS Leanader and Archilles in late 1943 of which family served on .

The 727 .. Captain Sim has one that could be painted smile.gif but the Hummer is a Hum dinger tongue.gif
