With a total of 235 RNZAF Airspeed Oxford 1/11 and Consul twin engine trainer used during WWII the Wigram Museum staff have really got the leg up, looking great /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B-)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Thanks Marty, still getting use/figger the camera ops , the mission was to photo the DC-3 cockpit for Jan Visser's remake, but this Oxbox - Its amazing how simplistic the structure is course we both knew that, I was so pleased to see it up on its wheels and much bolted on .. a good study.

I have to admit to being a bit envious of your access to these aircraft Ian. Good photos that make me even more jealous!! Well done.

Lovely shots Ian. I'd love a really good FSX model, in RNZAF colours with yellow belly and yellow stripe on the side with earth and green on top.
There's a bloke in Feilding with THREE Oxboxes to fly. Gotta get down there!

It maybe not that far away- a FSX model , but as for the three real jobbies about to fly, that sounds very interesting .

I was down there a couple of weeks ago for a conference (that was supposed to be in the museum but got changed at the last minute to Riccarton race course). One of the field trips was to the Wigram Air Force museum.
I didn't realise that they had so many Skyhawks there. Nice museum and wonderfully kept exhibits.

CRIKEY STEVE ..

Between the Riccarton race course and Wigram .. Triangulate into Church Corner .. you would have been more than welcome to stop here and have a chin wag at the man cave/art studio CRIKEY

Yeah I should have thought about that! I needed a beer or 5 after 4 days of dry ICAO business.
