Good pictures towerguy :thumbup: . I've thought a lot about what it'd be like to do formation flying. Me and Trolly tried some online but we couldn't maintain the same speed :( , like if I was too fast I'd reduce throttle and pull up so then I'm too far above him, so I push down on the stick and I'm going too fast again :(

main thing with formation is to recognise the required change early - then its small corrections early not large and late.

It is easier in real life because you have the feel of the a/c, whereas you don't sitting at a desk with a 17" monitor and joystick.... although have seen someone get knocked badly by wake turbulence on a formation take off, suffice to say, they shat themselves
